Everyone has a favorite genre when it comes to the movie industry, but it’s hard not to enjoy a really good comedy film. When done right, a good comedy movie can bring people together, make everyone laugh more than they thought possible, and forget about any worries the day managed to pile on. Thankfully, services like Netflix – a streaming giant – have a wide selection of comedy movies to enjoy. These are just 20 of the hundreds available on the service. Find them, mark them, watch them!

The Interview

The Interview should be one of the most notorious comedy movies by now, especially considering what happened with North Korea because of it. The film stars James Franco and Seth Rogen, the two comedy buddies we all love to see get together. The CIA learns of their trip to North Korea, so they ask the two to kill Kim Jong-un.

Jack Black is generally hit-or-miss when it comes to comedy, but he did quite well with Bernie. This dark comedy tale follows Bernie Tiede, a mortician in Carthage, Texas, who befriends a vile, rich widow. When she disappears, Bernie ends up the lead suspect after his spending spree.

Pain and Gain

This is a wonderful mixture of action and comedy combined. Pain and Gain proves that both Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are capable of roles that shake things up. When the two muscle-bound men decide to kidnap a rich business owner, things quickly go wrong.

Most people probably know the television show by now, but the movie is what started it all. The Coen brothers managed to combine multiple genres into this crime story. The humor is a little dark, but that’s what makes it all the better.
